Operation Massive Stupidity

I just read Jeff Huber's post over at My Left Wing, and also here about Iraq, linky here,

and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I was caught by one portion of a sentence. The Basara operation, so recently failed, was named "Operation Knight's Assault." Think about that for a minute, they named a military, supposedly Muslim originated action "Operation Knight's Assault." That name has associations with the Crusades, and if you're familiar with the Crusades, they were directed by Europeans trying to steal property from Arabs in Arabian lands. "Operation Massive Stupidity" was the best answer I could come up with. I mean, how many Arabs, Persians, Muslims, and Turks do you people want to piss off? You just did it.

What can I say? Jesus, how far do the fools at the Pentagon and among our "leaders" have their heads up their ass. I'm sure that operational title "Operation Knight's Assault" is all over the Muslim news channels, and it can be guaranteed to reduce our, the US, and Maliki's status and power within the entire Muslim community. Is there a crime called "criminal stupidty," or perhaps "criminal incompetence?" Can these people be that fucking stupid?

I'm kind of a fan of conspiracy theories. I think JFK, MLK, and RFK were all assassinated by our own government, and I also think that 911 was a government (our own) job to start the "endless war" process. Think McCain here, or perhaps Hillary, or even Barack.

Is our Government and the Pentagon that massively stupid, or are they actually trying to foment WW3? US against the Muslims (and probably Russia and China on the side of the Muslims). I'm sorry, but this Iraq, Iran shit has gotten entirely out of hand, and "Operation Knight's Assault" makes me wonder about the sanity of the entire Western world.

Oh well, if the neocons who seem to be running the government at the moment are successful, at least we won't have to worry about global warming for a while. I do like to be an optimist, when possible.
